What Does idle Mean on Discord

What does idle mean on Discord? Idle is when a user has been inactive for an extended period of time. If you’re not sure how to set your status, you can click the “idle” button in the app’s settings and select one of the options: Always show as offline, Only show as offline if away from keyboard, or Don’t change my status. The last option means that no matter what happens with your account (whether it be going idle or being active), you won’t be automatically marked as idle by Discord.

When you’re recently signed into your account but not doing anything. This refers to an individual who has switched to their browser tab where they are logged into the app that they are using (ex: Discord) but they haven’t mic’d up or done anything with the app for 3 minutes.

After a period of inactivity on the computer, Discord will automatically set your status to idle. You can also manually set this if you wish and as for what it means? It typically interpreted that someone is away or does not intend to use their account even though they may be sitting at home with open browsers all day long! I generally do so myself when there’s nothing else worthwhile going on online – just because people want attention sometimes haha !

If you don’t want to be judged on your idle time, here’s how to be always online in Discord:

  1. Open the User Settings page via clicking the gear symbol next to your username in the top left corner of Discord.
  2. Under Appearance, click Idle Settings and turn off the option: Set me as away when my computer is idle.
  3. Click the option: Show my status as Online all the time! and save the changes by clicking on another gear symbol in the top left corner of Discord or click this link .

Discord is a great platform to maintain your online identity, but it can sometimes be too much. You might ask yourself “why wouldn’t I just set my status to offline or exit Discord altogether?” To that question there are multiple answers depending on what you want from this forum and how long-term the decision will need/be worth for keeping up with these apps in general

I’d recommend trying out different options before making any final decisions because everything has pros as well as cons associated with them – some may not suit your needs at all while others seem perfect!
